Around 350,000 customers placed bets on the game. This is the highest number ever recorded for a single sporting event at Norsk Tipping.
A Comparison to Past Tournaments
The scale of this activity stands out when compared to past events. During the entire 2024 men’s European Championship, about 380,000 customers placed bets through Norsk Tipping across all matches combined.
The Norway–Brazil game alone drew nearly as many bettors as that whole tournament. Norsk Tipping said interest was high throughout the day. Many people opened new accounts just to bet on the match.
The company noted the numbers could still see small adjustments. But it believes the figures reflect how much attention the game received.
