Why Kalshi Is Entering Drug Research
Drug trial reporting has faced criticism for years. Companies are required to post results on ClinicalTrials.gov, but many do not follow through.
An FDA review found that close to three in ten studies subject to mandatory disclosure rules never submitted their results. That leaves gaps in public knowledge about how treatments are performing.
Kalshi argues that trading prices could fill some of that gap. Instead of waiting on company press releases, users could watch probabilities shift in real time based on trading activity.
The idea is that investors, doctors, researchers, and patients would all have access to the same live data. Kalshi says the rollout will happen gradually and follow existing regulatory rules.
