The match took place on June 10, 2026. It was played between Afrique Football Elite and AS Korofina, and ended with a 5-3 scoreline.

FEMAFOOT announced the inquiry on August 28, 2026. The announcement came one day after AS Korofina’s management responded publicly to comments from its president.

The patterns were tied to the 5-3 scoreline and related betting markets. IBIA passed this information to FEMAFOOT for review.

FEMAFOOT said the matter has been referred to its Independent Ethics Commission. The commission will hear from all parties involved before making a decision.
