TLDR EDGE Markets expects to process more than $2 billion in transactions during the 2026 NFL season. That would be close to double the $1.2 billion it handled during the 2025 season. The company processed over $800 million in the first 44 days of this season, nearly four times the same period last year. EDGE Markets, a financial technology company that serves sports bettors and prediction market traders, expects to process more than $2 billion in transactions during the 2026 NFL season.
The company shared the forecast on October 22, 2026. If the estimate holds, it would nearly double the $1.2 billion EDGE handled during the 2025 NFL season.
The early numbers support the forecast. In the first 44 days of the season, EDGE processed more than $800 million in transactions.
That figure is nearly four times the volume from the same period last season, according to a company statement.
“Football season brings a surge in real-time activity for EDGE Boost cardholders,” the company said.
How EDGE Boost Works
EDGE’s first product built for sports bettors is the EDGE Boost debit card. It is a Visa card that lets users keep their betting and trading money separate from their everyday finances.
Customers load the card from their regular checking accounts. Prediction market traders can now use it too.
The card is built for markets that run around the clock. According to the company, clients can move money from their EDGE Boost balance to a partner market in real time, even when traditional bank transfers are paused.
