Esportes da Sorte Group has acquired Apostou.com. The company operates BETBR Loterias, a betting brand licensed by Brazil’s Secretariat of Prizes and Betting.
Apostou.com has a strong presence in the state of Paraná. It also runs physical betting locations in the region.
The deal includes two other brands owned by Apostou.com. These are B1BET and BRBET.
This purchase adds to Esportes da Sorte’s reach in Brazil. Brazil is currently the fifth-largest betting market in the world.
Brazil’s Betting Market Growth
Brazil’s regulated betting industry generated close to BRL6 billion, or $1.2 billion, in revenue during the first five months of 2026.
That revenue comes from a 12% tax on operators’ gross gaming revenue. Corporate taxes also apply, including IRPJ, CSLL, PIS and Cofins.
These costs have pushed larger operators to look at buying smaller brands. Mergers and acquisitions have become common across the sector.
Esportes da Sorte Group also owns two other brands, Lottu and Onabet. The group has been building its portfolio over the past two years.
In 2024, the group acquired a company called ST Soft. That company owned a separate brand also named Apostou, which had been licensed by Loterj since 2023.
