The win came from a game called Long Xing Da Da, made by White Hat Studios. It triggered the site’s Mega Jackpot, the top tier of its progressive prize system.
Hard Rock Bet announced the win on Aug. 17. The company called it the largest payout in its online casino’s history.
The new record beat the previous high by $852,814.10. That earlier win happened on July 4, just over six weeks before this one.
This is the fourth seven figure Mega Jackpot win since the New Jersey network launched in April. The July win was the first to cross $2 million.
How the Jackpot System Works
Hard Rock Bet runs four jackpot tiers in New Jersey. The Mega starts at $100,000, the Major at $1,000, the Minor at $100, and the Mini at $10.
Players join by adding 10 cents to each bet. That means a $2 spin actually costs $2.10 once a player opts in.
Once opted in, players stay in the jackpot pool until they choose to opt out. The extra dime applies to every spin after that.
The jackpot trigger is random.
