Police in Hung Yen province, Vietnam, have uncovered an online gambling network that operated through the Net.win website. Bank accounts linked to the system processed more than VND1 trillion, or about US$38.61 million.
Authorities are still investigating the case. They are working to find out who ran the network and how money moved through its accounts.
The case began after police received a complaint about a resident of Tien Tien Commune. The resident was identified only as N. V. M.
Investigators said M. opened an account on Net.win in early 2025. The purpose was to take part in online gambling games.
How the Net.win System Worked
The website let users deposit money through bank accounts supplied by the system. Deposits were turned into points, with VND1,000 equal to 1,000 points.
Players could later change any winnings back into cash. This was done through the same bank account setup.
Police records show M. made 165 deposits between Feb. 8 and Oct. 16, 2025. The deposits totaled nearly VND2 billion and went to 13 bank accounts connected to Net.win.
As police looked deeper, they found the gambling system relied on those 13 accounts across different banks. The accounts were used to receive and send money involving players.
The total value of transactions through the accounts passed VND1 trillion. That equals more than US$38.61 million in
