TLDR 24 casinos in Cambodia ended their online gambling services after the September 30 deadline, the CCTC said. 12 of the casinos are in Preah Sihanouk, 7 in Banteay Meanchey, and 5 in Svay Rieng. Stopped services include livestreamed gaming, football betting, online lotteries, and sporting bird competitions. Authorities have revoked 18 casino licenses and suspended 9 more in separate scam-linked investigations. Officials say monitoring will continue and casinos that break the ban could face legal action.
Twenty-four casinos in Cambodia have stopped their online gambling services following a September 30 deadline set by authorities. The Commission for Combating Technology-enabled Scams, known as the CCTC, confirmed the shutdowns.
The commission said the operators ended their digital gambling services and removed the equipment used to run them. Officials warned that casinos breaking the ban could face legal action.
The CCTC did not name the 24 casinos. It also did not say how many of Cambodia’s nearly 200 licensed casinos had offered online gambling before the deadline.
The commission did not comment on Cambodia’s earlier ban on online gambling, which was introduced in 2019.

Where the Casinos Are Located
Half of the 24 casinos were in Preah Sihanouk province, with 12 sites. Seven were in Banteay Meanchey, and the remaining five were in Svay Rieng.
The services that were stopped included livestreamed gaming, football betting, and online lotteries. Online sporting bird competitions were also halted.
The inspections were carried out by the CCTC, the Commercial Gambling Management Commission of Cambodia, and provincial authorities. Provincial courts helped coordinate the process of confirming the online services had ended.
Authorities said they will keep monitoring the casinos already inspected. Other
